activeImport

activeImport is the only tool you need for you to keep your Active Directory up to date.

 

activeImport is installed on one of your servers. There will not be installed any new components or anything that might compromise the security and safety on your servers. An administrative console Command Centre wll be installed. There will not be installed any local databases for saving your local settings.

 

activeImport is set up to run as a scheduled task and runs whenever you want your AD updated. It is common to run this every midnight. You will only need to run one executable file, activeimport.exe.

 

activeImport will read the employee information in your Intranet, HR system, Access database and keep those similar account in AD updated with relevant user information. You choose the information to update in your Active Directory from the Command Centre. Ths is explained in this manual.

Windows XP, Professional

Wndows Vista

Windows 2000 Server, 2003 Server all editions

 

Domain Environment, Exchange and Data Source:

Active Directory 2000 or 2003

Exchange 2000 or higher are supported.

Data based on any OLE DB source such as MS SQL Server 7, 2000, 2005, Express, Microsoft Access.

ORACLE with tnsnames.ora installed
