Setting activeImport up to run as a scheduled task

Setting up a scheduled task for activeImport.exe.

A widely used way of deploying activeImport is to run activeimport.exe as a scheduled task.

You can follow these steps to do that:

1.	Open Control Panel and choose Scheduled Tasks

2.	Click next when the wizard appears and choose to browse for the file activeImport.exe.

3.	Choose how often you want to run it and at which time

4.	Select the start date

5.	Enter the username and password under which account the file will run

6.	After that the setup is finished and your solution is 'live'.

Seeing the result

The easiest way of seeing the result is to open Outlook and see the replicated information on the accounts. Depending on your setup this information may not be immediately available, but after a certain period of time.

You are always able to see the information directly in Active Directory Users and Computers.
